This particular necklace was displayed in a huge, upright case with scads of other items, not necessarily "showcased" by any means compared to the other pieces. Having never seen anything like it, and never having even known such passes existed, I was instantly intrigued. "This is something special," I thought. I even dared to HOPE that others wouldn't realize how special this piece was! My hopes were dashed, as this piece ultimately sold for a staggering $314,500.
